Beer and Hymns St Georges day 23rd April

Our 4th year……Raising money for Oxfam. A great evening that started with a St George’s day  Quiz. Did you know that St George died in Turkey in 303AD… we then sang the classics lead by Fiona and Emily…”crown him with many crowns, Be thou my vision and I cannot tell”.  after a short break George and Beryl Formby took over and entertained all those who were there starting  with                          ” When im cleaning windows” .

Pies  and Peas were served all evening by the Hillsborough Hotel with money going towards Oxfam, a massive thanks to Alison and the team.

The evening continues with another short rendition of Hymns finishing with “land of hope and Glory” and Finally a few songs by George and Beryl Formby….

A good evening had by all.
